What do you think of when you think of homeless people? Do you think of someone that is jobless, with little to no education. It’s probably easier for a lot of people to not think about it at all. The reality of it is something much different. Everyone has a story. For a simple but profound project, the organization Rethink Homelessness invited several of Orlando’s homeless residents to tell the rest of us one fact from their lives that, if we walked past them, we would never expect. Rethink Homelessness is non-profit organization committed to eradicating homelessness in Central Florida.

A lot of people may be unaware to the fact that 80% of the homeless population in that area are families and children… Did you know that domestic violence is a leading cause of homelessness in women?
